perdo's aratula

Whilst enjoying a day trip to Aratula, we decided to drop in to Pedro’s for lunch. After a long closure it has re-opened under new management so we thought we’d check it out.

Lovely and clean and with cheerful staff – Pedro’s was off to a good start. The service was outstanding and the prices were really good. My lunch which was a quarter chicken with chips and salad and was a miserly $10.00 and the food came out really fast. Speaking of fast! I watched the girl run her kitchen and I gotta say, she was organised. Her system was built for quality and speed.

The salad was a basic garden salad but it was fresh and zesty and it had a simple dressing on it. So many times salad comes to the table with NO DRESSING! Please don’t bring me a salad without dressing, even a squeeze of lemon will do. The salad on my plate was wonderful. In fact, I’ve paid more for salad elsewhere and received a lot less. The chips were cooked perfectly and the chicken was moist and tasty. What more could you want for $10.

Sharon’s meal of chicken alfredos x 2 with potato bake and veges also came off the specials menu and although it was more expensive than mine, it still represented outstanding value at just $18. There’s value out there if you know where to look; which is kinda why we do what we do.

After a brilliant lunch we popped on over to the Scenic Rim Tavern for a beer and to discuss plans on filming more of what Aratula has to offer.
