Cocktails and Tequila

Well, with a list like this, where should I start?

Before I go any further, I really want to highlight the fun and social side of a venue like this one. It was an absolute joy to be a part of. I can see the Burrito Bar as a place where I might bring my friends or family to relax and just enjoy good food and company. I have some friends from interstate that I can’t wait to show this place to. I imagine that there will be a few tequila’s taking part in that particular event!

Let me just say that I tried the hot wings and they blew the top of my head right off. I’ve never had a boneless chicken wing before – very tasty but, if we’re splitting hairs very finely, I did find them a little bit dry.

But, what I really want to talk about here is that Sizzling Fajita. Who doesn’t love a bit of showmanship. The chef and the waitress brought the meal out and whilst the dish was sizzling and steaming in front of me he added the sauce that caused a cloud of steam and a delicious aroma. The only thing that could have kicked it up a notch would have been if they were dressed in tradition clothes with a Mexican band in tow.

I, however, think that the food did the talking all by itself. As an added bonus, when I was cleaning up the last of the dish, I got to eat all of those wonderful caramelized and crispy pieces of steak that I picked off the bottom of the cast iron pan. This kind of reminded me of what I used to do as a child.

Another thing that stood out was the taco bowl salad. I can just see that being a perfect thing on a hot summer’s afternoon with a couple of pale ales or a glass of white wine. And, you don’t have to wash up the bowl. Happy days.

The chatter of others in the restaurant told its’ own story. Every time something was brought to a table, you could see the food envy shooting backwards and forward across the restaurant from all angles.

Patrons were happy to chat to each other (we even met a lady who follows our page) and share their experiences about what they were trying.

Possibly one of the most remarkable things was that this audacious feast was not terribly expensive (even with two tequila shots, one cocktail and a beer), coming in at just over $100.00. I don’t know how to say “I’ll be back” in Spanish but, waiter Por Favour.
