We decided it was time for a short ride, so headed off to Beaudesert. We stopped off at Wyaralong Dam which is where I found the very cool eagle statue, but I’ll talk more about that another time when I head back to check out the Vineyard I spotted.
Today I was aiming to try out a neat home style cafe named Teaspoons & Aprons Beaudesert, and visit the local museum. Unfortunately, road works towards the museum at the time and the heat saw us press on after lunch towards Rathdowney instead, then through Boonah to home. The road between Boonah and Rathdowny can be quit the adventure- just saying. Not my favourite piece of road I must admit. If you are travelling this road pay attention to the signs! Ok ok maybe not a short ride after all but that’s what I told the Mrs lol.
Lots more to uncover in the region, so I best get busy and see what I can come up with.
Oh the sandwich!!
Great home style steak sandwich and, I’m guessing, house-cut chips . Great solution to the current chip shortage. Love it! The Affogato was great. It was served in one glass, which started a conversation about the traditional way of serving the coffee treat. Personally, I prefer the coffee shot and the ice cream to be served separately, but it’s definitely not a deal breaker.
