Once I stood tall and my trimmings shone bright

I stood without waver for long days and nights.

The sun would shine bright and the rain would pour down .

but we stood here together through every long hour.

The years have flown by and my timber’s grown dry

and I’ve done my best and my mates have stood by.

The grass now grows tall and my hats lost its shine,

my bolts have gone rusty and the cracks now grow wide.

But I’ll stand here some more ‘til it’s time to lie down,

The seasons they change and come back around.

But my task has been issued and nothing has changed

So here I will hold through wind, fire and rain.
