Sometimes a lazy day at home is just the thing and sometimes, you just need to get out and see the pretty colours or something other than your own four walls. Today we decided to do both. After a quiet morning we thought we’d try out the kebab shop recommended by one of our 2 Hour Circle followers. We jumped in the car and made our way out to Krave Kebab in Ripley Town Centre to see what they had on offer.
Dalase ordered himself a kebab with the lot (and that’s what he got – I think they may have struggled to roll that one up) and I opted to go for a Pide (which I learned was pronounced as pee-day). Yes, I got it wrong! I was just about to pay the bill when the Baklava caught my eye. The gentleman behind the counter noticed and said I would regret it if I didn’t try them and I must say, after I had polished off not just one, but two pieces, He was quite right. They were divine.
Whilst we were waiting for our order, I decided to have a look around the shopping centre. Although it was Sunday, a lot of the shops were still open and I made my way into EcoCentric Sisters. Wow, what a great little place this store is.
There was so much beautiful, home-made and crafted product in there. From soaps and statues to jams and sauces, I discovered quite a lot of things that “needed” to come home with me, as well as a pug who I unfortunately had to leave behind with its’ owner. I did pick up some strawberry & pomegranate jam for myself and some sauce for Dalase and must say I was very happy with the prices. Sometimes I find the home-made things, although delicious, are quite expensive, but neither of these products was over $10.00, which I thought was pretty good.
I found a few things for presents as well and, with a few strategically placed hints dropped over the next few months, maybe even something for myself for Christmas. I’m looking forward to heading back to see what else I can find.
All-in-all, it was a great way to break up the day without any real planning or forethought. Just the way we like it here at The 2 Hour Circle.
